The Governing Board gathers once a year for the official Governing Board meeting, which runs over two days and includes a third day for the annual GBIF Science Symposium. The meeting takes place in member countries based on voluntary hosting proposals and is organised by the Secretariat in collaboration with the host country.
Any county that wishes to host a GBIF Governing Board meeting should contact the Secretariat at soon as possible.
