Entomology at ZMUC, Natural History Musem of Denmark
The entomological collections of the Natural History Museum of Denmark include more than 3.5 million pinned insects plus a similar number of alcohol-preserved specimens and range among the largest in Europe. Only a minor fraction of these specimens have been databased, and the present data set includes those that are georeferenced. The number of identified species in the collections totals about 100,000, i.e., about 10% of the world total of described species. The collections contain about 10,500 primary types.
