‘As a scientist, a research manager and a museum professional I regard GBIF as critically important. The Science Committee is a dynamic intersection of the core GBIF functions. This is one place that a volunteer like me can contribute toward the operation of this important institution, and at the same time be in contact with and learn from the many talented people involved. It is an honor to have a renewed role as the 1st Vice Chair of the Science Committee for next two years’, Graham stated.

Mark Graham has first been elected at the GB16 meeting in Copenhagen and will continue to serve another two years as 1st Vice Chair of the Science Committee. Graham will join the Chair of the Science Committee, Leonard Krishtalka and the 2nd Vice Chair, Tanya Abrahamse.
