
The Ebbe Nielsen Prize will be awarded for the 10th time in 2011 to a person or small team that is demonstrating excellence in combining biodiversity informatics and biosystematics research.
The Prize consists of €30,000, and is intended to allow the recipient(s), who may reside in any country, to engage in biosystematics/biodiversity informatics research outside his/her/their country of residence for a period of 3-6 months. However, the use of the funds will be at the discretion of the recipient(s).

The Science Committee of the GBIF Governing Board seeks nominations for the Prize. Nominations are due by 15 March 2011.
