APPLICATION FORM FOR FINANCIAL
SUPPORT: GBIF Training
This form has to be carefully filled by those interested in applying
for
financial support to attend a GBIF training workshop. Eligible
person may
apply as indicated in the GBIF guidelines for financial
support to attend training workshops. Should you qualify,
please fill this form and send an email to training@gbif.org or fax
+45-35321480 clearly providing the information requested below.
Subject: Application for financial support to attend a GBIF
training
workshop
I hereby apply for financial support for the following GBIF training
workshop (specify
the training session) listed under http://www.gbif.org/Support/training/schedule
(The
above step is not mandatory but it helps GBIF to process your
application more quickly if you enter your data in GBIF database. It also puts you in the mailing list to
receive GBIF newsletters.)
Please identify
your relationship with GBIF. Choose from one of
the following categories:
a) I am the GBIF Head of Delegation
b) I am the GBIF Node Manager
c) I have been nominated to this event by the GBIF Head of Delegation*
d) I have been nominated to this event by the GBIF Node Manager*
For options (c) and (d) (identified above with an asterisk *) you must
send us a
letter or email of support from the Head of
Delegation or Node Manager from the
respective country or international organisation who are GBIF
Participants.
e) I am none of the above, but would like to participate as an
observer. I would
like to justify my application as follows:

Explain why you would like to know more about GBIF? What´s your
motivation to attend this training session ?
e2) Do you maintain a biological collection or an observation network?
e3) Do you have or plan to build databases of museum collections
(specimens) or
biological observations? If yes, what is the status of these?
e4) Do you have a good knowledge of databases, computers and the
internet? Please be specific in your description.
e5) Provide a letter or recommendation from your institution or
organisation. Make
sure that the name, institutional affiliation, address, email and fax
number
are clearly indicated.
