GBIF Training Manual 1: Digitising Natural History Collections Data brings together in one volume a number of GBIF publications that have been well received by the community. There are, in addition, new materials, a GBIF Glossary and Acronym Expansion, and a number of important GBIF documents such as the Data Use and Data Sharing agreements.

The result is a complete package of background information and guidance for the curators and collections managers of natural history collections and herbaria.

GBIF hopes that this Manual (the first in a planned series) will assist potential providers of collections-based biodiversity data to help GBIF reach its 1 Billion Record goal. The GBIF Training Manual 1: Digitising Natural History Collections Data can be accessed in the following ways:
