One of GBIF-Spain's initiatives is adding a new video section to the training area on its portal.

This section will include videos from training activities, conferences given in scientific meetings and so on. It is hoped that these videos will become a reference point for those interested persons who can not physically attend the courses and workshops.

The system displays the videos in synchrony with the PPT presentation shown in the conference or workshop. A user can also browse the conference and watch different portions.

In future, the system will also include screencasts (recorded computer sessions) that describ technical issues, how to use tools, portals, etc.
