The Memorandum of Cooperation, signed on 13 August 2007, establishes a working partnership between FAO and GBIF in support of the International Pollinator Initiative.

The two organisations will work together to

  • document the data needs of the users of a pollinator information management system,
  • review proposed delivery methods for these data,
  • initiate development of primary data content, and
  • identify opportunities for funding the content development to meet these data needs.
