Current GBIF Participants
As of 1 January 2007 GBIF's new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU 2007-2011) went into effect.
The members that make up GBIF are officially called "Participants" by the
'Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
for the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). The MoU is
open for signature to any interested country, economy or relevant international organisation.
The procedure for applying for membership is described in the document How to Become a GBIF Participant.
