Susanne Lønstrup Sheldon joined the GBIF Secretariat in May 2002. She has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration in economics and languages from Copenhagen Business School. From 1992 to 2002 she held the position first as secretary and later as PA to the Director General of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany, and prior to that she worked within the main offices of a multinational oil company in Copenhagen, Denmark.
