Hotels

The local organisers have blocked rooms at four hotels, see list below. One of the hotels is the meeting venue (Mövenpick Hotel). The three other hotels are in the vicinity of the Mövenpick Hotel. However, please notice that there are plans to move the Amstel Botel (a boat) but the date has not yet been confirmed, and we do not know if this will happen before or after October 2007. If the Botel is moved before October, we expect it will still be within 30 minutes (by foot and ferry) from the Mövenpick Hotel.

Hotel directions

To the Mövenpick Hotel

Trams to the Mövenpick Hotel leave from the east side of the train station: tram 26 (one stop Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis) or tram 25, leaves past the east side of the train station (either stop one Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis or stop two Passengers Terminal Amsterdam, PTA). See www.gvb.nl.

Please note that stop Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis is above the entrance level of the Mövenpick Hotel. You have to take a staircase or make a detour when carrying heavy luggage. In the latter case it is more convenient to take tram 25 stop PTA.

All GB14 hotels are at walking distance from the train station.

Mövenpick Hotel: leave the train station north side, cross the street and biker’s lane, go to the right. From here you can see the Mövenpick hotel rising from behind the Muziekgebouw.

Victoria Hotel Park Plaza: leave the train station west exit, city centre side, look ahead across the water, the white building at the corner of the street is the Victoria Hotel.

Ibis Amsterdam Centre: leave the train station west exit, city centre side, go to the right, pass the taxi stand, the hotel is on your right about 100 meters from here.

Amstel Botel Amsterdam: leave the train station either west or east exit, city centre side, go to the left, keep to the left side, pass the tram and bus stops, pass the east tunnel underneath the railway, a level below the bus stops, take a little curve ahead, at 50 meters from here you will find a path to the Botel.

From Ibis Amsterdam Centre and Victoria Hotel Park Plaza to the Mövenpick Hotel: walk to the train station and go to the north side either through the station building or, east from the station building, through the tunnel underneath the railway. Cross the street and biker’s lane, go to the right. From here you can see the Mövenpick Hotel. People staying at the Ibis Amsterdam Centre could also walk around the building next to the hotel and take the tunnel at the west side of the station. This way you avoid the crowd at the train station.

From Amstel Botel Amsterdam to the Mövenpick Hotel: walk back towards the train station and go through the tunnel east of the station building. Cross the street and biker’s lane, go to the right. From here you can see the Mövenpick Hotel.
