Stockholm


Stockholm is the capital of Sweden, and is the largest town of the country with its 750 000 inhabitants.
Built on 14 islands, it is called the 'Venice of the North'. It is the place where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea.


Language(s)

Swedish is the official language; there are also recognized minority languages: Sami (Lapp), Finnish, Meänkieli (Tornedalen Finnish), Yiddish, and Romani Chib. Most people speak English, also.
